GORDON, NANETTE LHORMER: On Monday, January 11, 2016; Beloved wife of the late Ira H. Gordon. Beloved mother of Scott (Ilana) Gordon, Peter (Robin) Gordon, Jill (David) Gordon-Stein. Daughter of the late Arch and Rose Lhormer. Sister of the late Barry Lhormer (Janet Markel). Grandmother of Rebecca (Dan) Marks, Sarah (Greg) Sparer, Ben Gordon, Abby Gordon, Elizabeth (Jesse) Coslov, David Gordon, Alexandria Shaner and Ashley Shaner. Great-grandmother of Roni Marks. Nan was born January 15th, 1928 and died January 11, 2016. She was married to Ira for 66 years. Nan was active in the Pittsburgh community for most of her life. She and her husband were philanthropic, sponsoring events for the Jewish Federation. They were active donors to the Carnegie Museum, the Cultural Trust and Animal Friends. Nan was a doscent at the Carnegie Museum for many years. She loved exercise and sports, including golf, tennis and swimming. She was surrounded always by longtime friends and loved their company. She travelled the world with her husband, often including her adult children and grandchildren. Nan will be missed dearly by her family, extended family and friends. Services at Rodef Shalom Temple, 4905 Fifth Avenue (at Morewood) on Thursday at 2 PM. Visitation one hour prior to services at Temple (1 - 2 PM).
