KATZ, CAROLE A.: Died Sunday, March 20, 2016. Born in Pittsburgh on August 8, 1942 to Jack D. and Hilda E. Langer. Mother of Felicia Katz and the late Eli H. Katz. Also survived by her adored grandson, Ethan Geraghty, her sister, Judith Merlin, her brother, Larry Langer, long time friend, Bernie Kirschenbaum, and many extended family members. Carole graduated from Memphis State University, now the University of Memphis, with a degree in education. Carole lived life out loud. She loved to entertain and was an avid gardener and cook. She cared deeply for people and animals and was proud to be a liberal. There will be a Memorial Service on Wednesday, March 23 at 2 PM at the home of Jay and Sara Buss, 1296 Denniston Street, Pittsburgh. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Arthur I.
