LANDIS, ESTHER RUDER: on Monday, May 2, 2016, age 90 of Forest Hills. Beloved mother of David (Mary) Landis and Larry (Sophia) Landis; grandmother/Meme of Ben, Juliana, Dan, Jessica, Elizabeth and Nate. She was predeceased by her parents Louis and Fanny Ruder and her siblings Ceal Karavitz, Morris Ruder, Nate Ruder, Edward Ruder and Sam Ruder. Also survived by her sisters, Pearl Lazarus and Hilda Bell and many nieces and nephews. The family wanted to thank Bayada and Epic Health Services for the round the clock care their nurses provided at Esther's house after she was discharged from the hospital as well as her primary care physician Dr. Ellis and her oncologist Dr. Hou. Services at Ralph Schugar Chapel, Inc., 5509 Centre Avenue, Shadyside on Friday at 1 PM. Visitation one hour prior to services (12 Noon - 1 PM). Interment Temple Sinai Memorial Park. We just found out about esthers passing We have so many fond memories of her and the wonderful aunt and sisterinlaw she was you are in our thoughts and prayers love joni and evelyn and family

We are the neighbors of lovely Esther and she was the best neighbor and friend - ever. Words cannot express how much we already miss her. Our deepest condolences to her family and we are grateful to have met her sons and gotten to know them. Thanks for letting Esther stay in her home this past month, we know this is what she wanted and she was at peace.
