Lee N. Perelstine

PERELSTINE, LEE N.:  Age 89.  On Sunday, July 3, 2016; Beloved husband of Sara (Roth) Perelstine.  Loving father of Steven (Francine) Perelstine, Robert (Karla) Perelstine, and the late Jeffrey Perelstine.  Proud grandfather to Dana and David Perelstine, Marissa and Erin Perelstine, Breanne, Linsie, Elise, and Brett Perelstine.  Brother of Syma Levine, Meryl (Paul) Torin, and the late Gail Schreiber, and Dorothy Goldstein.  Lee played varsity football as well as the tuba in the marching band prior to graduating from Taylor Allderdice High School in 1945.  He served in the US Navy.  A man of many talents, Lee was a postal carrier, bar/restaurant owner, and electronics repairman.  He was past president of B'nai Emunah Synagogue.  After retirement, Lee kept busy through his volunteer efforts with many organizations.  In his later years, he devoted his life as the primary care giver for his wife of 62 years.  Friends and family may meet at Ralph Schugar Chapel, Inc., 5509 Centre Avenue, Shadyside on Wednesday at 10 AM and then proceed to Chofetz Chaim Cemetery for 11 AM Graveside Services.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.

Syma Levine....Allan & I were thinking about how life can be so strange giving you a Birthday, a simcha, and then a loss of your brother ...all within a few weeks.
