GERSON, LUCILLE: Age 88, passed away after a long struggle with dementia on September 11, 2016 at Asbury Heights in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She was born on February 8, 1928 in McKeesport PA, to Minnie and Harry Gottesman. After her marriage to the late Herbert Cohen ended, she met and married the love of her life, Meyer Gerson, who predeceased her. During her years at Asbury Heights and prior, she was lovingly looked after and cared for by her wonderful nieces, Marcia Freeman, Iris Riemer and Eileen Pechersky. She was a wonderful daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and aunt who cared very much for and about her family and friends. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved her. Her children will always remember her weekly mah-jongg games, her wonderful pies and baked goods that she so lovingly made and the countless times she brought her family together for delicious dinners that gave her the greatest pleasure. She is survived by her children, Norman (Andrea) Cohen, Marilyn  (Jerry) Lipson, Mila (Andy) Paul, Larry (Joan) Cohen, Rosie Gerson  (Irwin Harris), Steve (Bobbi) Gerson, Larry (Barbara) Gerson. Grandchildren TJ Rubin, Matt and Amanda Lipson, Jon (Cindy) Lipson, David Lipson, Pam (Dan) Kates, Rachel and JD Paul, Max Cohen, Samantha Harris, Stephanie (Brad) Berger, Synthia Gerson (Eric Cassaburro), Laura (Phillip) Silverman, Evan (Jill) Gerson, Rachael Brown and 11 great grandchildren.
