MELNICK, SHIRLEY: On Friday, September 16, 2016; Beloved wife of the late Pershing Melnick. Loving mother of Sonny R. (Iris) Melnick of Irwin, Marilynn (Ted) Gething of Clearwater, FL, Alan (Kristine) Melnick of St. Petersburg, FL, Marta Melnick of Wilkins Township, , Geri Faye Melnick of Monterey, CA, Phillip (Tracey) Melnick of State College. Sister of Jeannette Kline and the late Sol, Milton and Leonard Caplan and Bertha Zeligson. Grandmother of Tami and Bethany Melnick, Dean (Katie) Gething, Brad (Antonia) Gething, Drew Gething, Tyler (Laura) Gething, Skylar Melnick, Tanner Melnick and Chloe Melnick. Great-grandmother of Kaylie Melnick, Mia and Grace Lynn Gething.  Also survived by nieces and nephews. Services at Ralph Schugar Chapel, Inc., 5509 Centre Ave., Shadyside on Sunday, September 18, 2016 at 4:30 PM.  Visitation one half hour prior (4 - 4:30 PM). Condolences

We love our Aunt Shirley and she will be deeply missed. However, she will always hold a special place in our hearts for being one of the most sweetest, kindest, fun woman in our family. She was like our 2nd "Mom". She is at peace now and resting in heaven! We know our Dad, of blessed memory, already picked her up at heavens gate in his Cadillac! Rest in Heaven!
