FRIEDMAN, ALAN: On Wednesday, September 21, 2016; Beloved son of Marilyn and the late Paul  Friedman. Brother of Gary (Marian) Friedman. Also survived by beloved friends Joanne and William Saslaw. Alan was a longtime usher and fan of The Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers. He was a Travel Agent and a Stock Broker by trade. Friends may meet at Ralph Schugar Chapel, Inc., 5509 Centre Avenue, Shadyside on Friday, September 23, 2016 at 10 AM and then proceed to Shaare Torah Cemetery for 11 AM Graveside Services. Condolences

I feel so lucky that I got to know you and meet you a few times at the Carnegie Library as he enthusiastically was showing me around and what to look for in understanding stocks. He truly loved the Pirates and Oakland. I know he was excited about his new car and all the trips he was hoping to take. He was a gentle soul and an easy person to just hang out with listening to music and etc. He is missed greatly at work and everywhere he went.

Marilyn and Gary, please accept my sincere and profound sympathy on the loss of my first cousin.I am thankful that Jacob and I had the opportunity to visit and say our goodbyes a couple months ago in person. We will keep you in our prayers. Love Lewis
