KAMIL, ESTHER D. (July 9, 1916 - October 21, 2016) Esther died peacefully at home in Los Angeles after a long illness. Beloved wife of the late Zangwill; mother of Jeff (Elaine), grandmother of Jeremy (Lauren), Megan (Sanjeev) and the late Adam; great grandmother of Charlotte Cloutier-Kamil, Oliver Adam Kamil and Bryce Ramakumar. She is also survived by her sister Ida Cohen's and brother Norman Dobrushin's families. Esther was born in Pittsburgh to Israel and Hanna Dobrushin, the middle child between Ida and Norman. She moved to East Liverpool, Ohio as a young newlywed. After her husband Zangwill died, she returned to Pittsburgh where she spent many years volunteering at the Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh. She came to live with Jeff's family in Los Angeles in 2000. She loved her close circle of friends in East Liverpool and family in Pittsburgh and enjoyed traveling the world with her husband. She loved spoiling her grandchildren and was especially close to Adam who showered her with attention. Graveside Services and Interment will be held on Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at 12 Noon at Adath Jeshurun Cemetery.
