MALLINGER, THEODORE S. "TED": On Monday, November 7, 2016; Born November 30, 1924; son of the late David and Ida Mallinger; brother of Dr. Bernard Mallinger. Beloved uncle of Peggy & Rusty Haynes, Andy & Alisa Mallinger, and Jamie & Liz Mallinger. Grand-uncle of Logan and Devon Haynes, Aaron and Alec Mallinger, and Ben and Ella Mallinger. Ted graduated from Allderdice High School and the University of Pittsburgh. He enjoyed music, travel, skiing and tennis. He was a successful sales agent for many years. He served in World War II with the Quartermaster Corps, was at Omaha Beachhead; after serving in the European theater he was deployed to the Pacific and was in New Guinea and completed his service in the Philippines. He was a kind, generous, and thoughtful man. He lived at Longwood at Oakmont for the past five years. Visitation at Ralph Schugar Chapel, Inc., 5509 Centre Avenue, Shadyside on Sunday, November 13, 2016 from 10:30 am - 11:30 am. Interment PRIVATE.
