WECHSLER, DR. RICHARD LAWRENCE: On Friday, January 13, 2017; Beloved husband of the Late Marjorie Wayne Wechsler.  Son of the late Dr. Lawrence Wechsler and Ida Kaplan Wechsler.  Loving father of Ellen I. Wechsler, Dr. Lawrence R. (Phyllis) Wechsler, and Richard W. Wechsler.  Brother of the late Phyllis Louik.  Grandfather of Samuel W. (Kimberly) Wechsler, Thomas L. (Brittany) Wechsler, and Paul M. Wechsler. Great-grandfather of Lee D. Wechsler. Step-father of Carl (Natalie) Kurlander and Thomas Kurlander.  Step-grandfather of Campbell Kurlander. Also survived by loving cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.  Dr. Wechsler was a graduate of Harvard College and the University of Pittsburgh Medical School.  He was a life-long Pittsburgher and lover of his hometown, where he practiced internal medicine and gastroenterology.  He was a member of the Concordia Club for many years and founder of the Pittsburgh Gut Club.  Services will be held at Ralph Schugar Chapel, Inc., 5509 Centre Avenue, Shadyside on Monday, January 16, 2017 at 1:00 pm.  Visitation one hour prior to services (12 Noon - 1:00pm).  Interment West View Cemetery of Rodef Shalom Congregation.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Jewish Residential Services, 4905 Fifth Avenue, Pittsburgh , PA 15213. Arrangements entrusted to Ralph Schugar Chapel, Inc., family owned and operated.
