LEVINSON, BURTON MERLE: On Sunday, January 15, 2017; Beloved husband of the late Norma Levinson. Beloved father of Suzanne  Levinson. Brother of Lois (late Harris) Heyman and the late James (late Lynn) Levinson. Brother-in-law of Marion (late Bernard) Kessler, Phillip Williams and the late Evelyn Williams. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends Sterling Painton, Frank Williams and Gary Murphy. Burton worked for Levinson Steel, he enjoyed going to yoga classes for about 12 years and was an inspiration to many people. Services at Ralph Schugar Chapel, Inc., 5509 Centre Avenue, Shadyside on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at 3 PM. Visitation one hour prior to services, (2 -3 PM) Interment Mount Lebanon Cemetery/Beth  El Section. Contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. www.schugar.com

Condolences

May his memory be a Blessing. So sorry to hear of Burt's sudden passing. He was always an inspiration to me and so kind and compassionate. We also have the Levinson family in common and I'm sorry I missed the funeral. We will forever picture Burt in one of the many yoga poses he so much enjoyed.

So sorry to hear of your Father's passing. Now him from Silver Sneakers. Got to see and talk to him at the Christmas Party. Always one of my favorite people. I'll miss him.

Burt was always kind, gentle and interested in others. I really enjoyed doing yoga with him over the years. He will be missed.

Suzanne; My deepest sympathy for the loss of your Father. I worked for/with Burt at The Levinson Steel Company during the years 1977-1983. He was always a wonderful and kind man.
