ROGAL, ANDREW L.: On Monday, January 30, 2017; Beloved husband of Vicki (Loveness) Rogal. Loving father of Erin (Jason) Scheu, Lisa Rogal (Jack Russo) and Samuel Rogal (Elena Skopetos). Son of the late Alvin and Ann Rogal. Brother of James (Lori) Rogal. Adored "Papa" of Adam and Madeleine Scheu. Uncle of Kate and Jake Rogal. Andy was a man with a tremendous capacity for compassion, humor, honor, independence, tenacity, principle, strength, and love. His spirit was rich and full and his life was accomplished and impressive. After a decade in law litigating employment discrimination, he joined Hilb, Rogal, and Hobbs Inc. Over a 25 year career he rose to become Chairman and CEO, leading the company to its position as the tenth largest insurance brokerage intermediary in the world. He remained committed to the people of Pittsburgh, serving as a board member of several prominent non-profit organizations, including The Jewish Health Care Foundation and Children's Hospital. Above all else, he was committed to his family, spending his last years caring for his wife, Vicki, and as always rooting for the Steelers. Services at Ralph Schugar Chapel, Inc., 5509 Centre Avenue, Shadyside on Friday at 1 PM. Visitation one hour prior (12 - 1 PM). Interment Homewood Cemetery. Condolences

Saw Andrew\'s obit and just wanted to offer my sympathy. Years ago, when he and Jim were still teenagers, my mom, Mae Hammer, had worked for their mom and dad for a period of time. She has been gone for a long time, but I remember driving her to work at different times. Seeing the obit flooded my memory bank of my mom and Andrew\'s family, who treated my mom well.
