MOTTSMAN, PHYLLIS LEONA CHARIE: on Saturday, June 3, 2017. Wife of the late Dr. Joseph Mottsman. Daughter of the late Daniel and Rose Charie. Sister of the late Stanley Charie. Phyllis was a retired Spanish teacher who taught in the Pittsburgh Public Schools and the Village Academy.  She is survived by her children:  Deborah (Harry) Rosen; Barbara (Michael) Lesser; Harry Mottsman; and Dina (Stanley) Michael.  She is also survived by dear family friend, Bridget Burns.  Her grandchildren are:  Ethan Rosen, Cara Head, Danica Lesser, Aaron Lesser, Benjamin Mottsman, Talia Maschino, and Miriam Mosher.  She is also survived by 10 nieces and nephews and their families. Services at Temple Emanuel of South Hills, 1250 Bower Hill Road, Mount Lebanon, on Friday, June 9, 2017 at 11 AM. Visitation at Temple one hour prior to services (10 - 11 AM). Interment Mount Lebanon Cemetery, Temple Emanuel Section. Contributions may be made to Doctors Without Borders, 333 7th Avenue, 2nd Floor, New York, NY 10001-5004. My sincerest condolences on the loss of your mother and grandmother. I am a distant cousin and remember holidays with your parents and grandparents. I lived on Raleigh, around the corner from the Charies. I remember Rose Charie coming to our home weekly to play mahjong.
