Even though we only knew him for six months, we loved him.
Every shabbes for the last six months we spoke with him every Saturday at shul. He always made us feel welcome. I think he loved us and we loved him. He was full of life, sharp mind, excellent memory, and a sweet, kind, generous man who loved davening and Yiddishkeit.
He was in a class by himself. We miss him.

We were so happy to have visited uncle Abbie 2 years ago, when we were in Pittsburgh. He was incredibly loving, he had homade corned beef sandwiches for us. He gave each of us a gold dollar and a Pittsburghese t-shirt.

Uncle Abbie was a true Mensch. He treated our father Ben like a true Brother when he came to Pgh. penniless as a Holocaust Survivor. He helped all of us realize the importance of our Judaism and traditions through example and actions, not words-stern as they could be! Rest in Peace and keep us all free and safe. Moishe Pipik
