RICHARD MERITZER: On Monday, February 11, 2019; Beloved son of the late Manuel and Anne Meritzer; cherished brother of Fran (Alton) Jolly; beloved uncle of Tamara and Sarah Jolly. Richard worked for the City of Pittsburgh for over 30 years most recently as the ADA Coordinator. He was a long-time member of Rodef Shalom and Bet Tikvah Congregations. Richard will be deeply missed by his many dear friends, co-workers, and those in the disability community. Services at Rodef Shalom Temple, 4905 Fifth Avenue (at Morewood), on Thursday, February 14, 2019 at 1 PM. Visitation at Temple one hour prior to services (12 Noon - 1 PM). Interment will follow in the Green Section of West View Cemetery of Rodef Shalom Congregation. Shiva will be at Rodef Shalom Temple on Thursday from 6 pm - 8 pm. We are saddened to learn of Richard's passing. Our deepest sympathies to his family and friends.

Condolences to the family of Richard Meritzer and his many friends. He was a great friend and Brotherhood participant.

I will miss Richard. He was a wonderful person, always smiling and helpful and friendly. I remember when he was very ill and in the hospital in 2005-6, I think. My husband Danny and I were also there and visited him. We talked about how he was so active in liberal politics. I am sad with you about our loss.

So sorry for the loss of my good friend Richard. His memory will forever be in the hearts of his many friends.

I am saddened by the news of Richard's passing. I was fortunate to get to know him while volunteering to drive him to treatment. He was a wonderful man- May he rest in peace....
