DAVRIAN AARONS HERSH: On Friday, September 25, 2020. Davrian was born in Clairton, PA on April 11, 1935 to Lillian and Joseph Aarons. She attended Mt. Mercy College and received a full vocal scholarship to New England Conservatory of Music in Boston which she set aside in order to return to Pittsburgh and marry her “basherte,” the love of her life, Donald Hersh. They raised four children, Ida Rae Cahana (Michael), Tom Hersh (Suzy), Lisa Reed (Scott), and Michael Hersh (Amy), while working together in Don’s dental practice in Pleasant Hills. Dav was the front manager who listened compassionately to everyones’ stories as they arrived for appointments. She sang in the choir at Temple B’nai Israel in McKeesport, hosted family holiday celebrations, and New Year’s Eve parties for friends. Summer vacations in Beach Haven, N.J. were highlights, surrounded by extended family and friends. Known as “Gram, Gramma, Grammadav, or Grandma Hercules,” she loved her ten grandchildren, David, Sarit, Liora, Idit, Ben, Hadley, Kyle, Natalie, Leah, and Alex fiercely and completely. Everyone loved how she sang to them, “I love you a bushel and a peck!” After 29 years, she will finally be reunited with her adored Don, and although she will be deeply missed by all of her friends and family, we know that she and Dad are together again and at peace. We celebrate your life, Mom, and will live life to the fullest, remembering your motto “Life is a cabaret, old chum!” Services and Interment Private.
