This is a sad day for those of us who knew Dr. Lillian Paule Charie, an extraordinary and brilliant woman who led a marvelous, full, rich life. She was a dear friend of my late mother and she and I loved her. She leaves a rich legacy for her children, grandchildren, great-grandson, and all the members of her large family. She will never be forgotten and there is no question that her memory shall be an everlasting blessing. My thoughts and prayers are with all who survive her, especially my dear friend Alison.
