Kenneth Marc Simon passed away peacefully on June 9, 2021 in Monroeville, Pennsylvania. Ken was born in 1945 in Cleveland, Ohio to parents Albert and Rae Simon, where he and his two sisters were raised. Ken spent much of his life in Ohio, but later moved to California and Illinois before settling in Monroeville, Pennsylvania. During his early life, Ken served honorably in the United States Army where he was stationed in Nome, Alaska. Upon returning from military service, he had a long career in sales, primarily in the steel industry. He enjoyed the company of friends and family and was often the life of the party. Most importantly, Ken was a devoted and attentive father - attending every sporting event, play, and concert. He always made time for his son and his ability to dole out equal parts fatherly wisdom, humor, and encouragement will be deeply missed. Ken is survived by his son, Andrew (wife Kristin) from his prior marriage to Judy Miller Simon, beloved granddaughter Addison, sisters Debbie Donaldson and Judy Samberg (husband Stanley), nieces Amy Samberg, Robin Samberg and Jamie Donaldson, grand-niece Elliana Samberg, nephews Corey Samberg, Ryan Donaldson, and Scott Donaldson, long-time partner Barb Turiak, and cats Maximilian and Thai. Graveside Services and interment will be held at West View Cemetery in Pittsburgh at 3 pm on June 11. The family requests that any remembrances be made in Ken's name to the ASPCA.
