Loving father of Ilan (Janice) Chaim of Jerusalem, Miriam (Barbara Golden) Smolover of Oakland, CA, Charles (Marcia Metlin) Smolover of Philadelphia and Sara (Lawrence Kraus) Smolover of Boston, MA. Fabulous step-father of Jody Bach and Billy (Rebecca Litman) Lopatin all of Pittsburgh. Brother of Raymond Smolover of Scarsdale, NY and the late Frances Davidson. Devoted grandfather of Ayelet, Shlomit, Davida, Matan, Aaron, Micah, Adina, Jacob, Alexis, Eli, Sasha, Ari, Manni and Jamie. Also survived by 12 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews who cherished Al. Services at Congregation Beth Shalom, 5915 Beacon Street, Squirrel Hill on Wednesday at 2:30 PM.
