JOAN SUE CHELEMER: Age 89, of Oakland and Highland Park, on Monday January 10th. Beloved Mother, Grandmother, and Great-grandmother. Pre-deceased by her late husband Harold Chelemer and her brother Charles G. Hirsh. She is survived by her 3 sons: Marc, Scott, and Bruce Chelemer; seven grandchildren: Joshua and Elizabeth Nakagawa; Micaela Brody; Samuel, Ben, Daniel, Philip, and David Chelemer; her sister-in-law Elissa Hirsh; nieces Erin and Amanda Hirsh; and seven great grandchildren. Graveside Services and Interment will be held on Thursday, January 13, 2022 at Homewood Cemetery at 11 AM. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in her memory to The American Civil Liberties Union, The Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, or The National Audubon Society. Shiva will be from 7pm to 11pm at The Atrium, 307 S. Dithridge Street, that evening. Family will also gather with friends and family Friday January 14^th from 11 AM to 3 PM at The Atrium. Condolences

Our deepest sympathy to all the member of Joani\\\'s family. Joani was a dear friend and an incredibly fine person. As I have often said, although Joani had many medical issues during her adult life, neither I nor any of her friends ever heard her complain. I loved hearing her say, \\\"Hello, Darling!\\\", and I could be sure that the two of us would talk over old times and have a laugh or two. I will miss her greatly. May her name be for a blessing.
