As a close friend of his son Ed for a half-century, it was my privilege to come to know Martin Silverman. He was an unfailingly gracious, kind gentleman: a devoted and wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He left the world a better place. May those who mourn be comforted.
