Dr. Evan Dreyer
August 2, 2022
DR. EVAN DREYER: Passed away on August 2, 2022. He was the loving husband of Melissa, and the cherished father of Becca (fiancé - Ross), Samantha (husband - Didrich), and Justin. He was the son of the late Dr. and Mrs. Ronald Dreyer. Evan was humble and quiet; he had a sophisticated sense of humor, a generous spirit, and a kind heart. Evan had a career in ophthalmology, specializing in glaucoma, and for the last 21 years was an ophthalmologist in the South Hills of Pittsburgh. He was a caring physician and would unceasingly strive to help others. He made it possible for thousands of people to maintain their eyesight. Evan was always eager to lend a hand to those in need, from providing transportation for cancer patients to their chemotherapy treatments to handing out dollar bills to those experiencing homelessness on his way to sporting events or theater shows. His family meant everything to him. He would spend his Sundays watching Steelers' and Yankees' games with his children. Evan shared and enjoyed his love of art and culture with them. He taught his children how to be kind, passionate, and resilient. He will be greatly missed. Evan was interred during a private ceremony in Massachusetts. Donations may be made in his memory to the Squirrel Hill Food Pantry. Arrangements entrusted to Ralph Schugar Chapel, Inc., family owned and operated. www.schugar.com.
