Annie is the daughter of the late Simon and Zlota Chijner. Annie was born in Bessarabia, Romania and immigrated with her family to New York, Puerto Rico, and Steubenville, Ohio. Annie married the late Sorel Myers her beloved husband of 55 years and moved to Pittsburgh where they raised their family. Family was everything to Annie and Sorel who devoted their lives to their parents, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Annie is the mother of Francine Darling (Joe Haguel), Lloyd Myers (Debbie), Simone Karp (late Hank) and Rita Rabin (Andy). Sister of the late Morris Chijner (late Bessie), the late Sam Chijner (late Carol), sister-in-law of the late Mildred Levin (late Leo). Adored Grandma (G-ma) of Jeremy Darling (Natalie), Andrew Darling, Emily Perlow (Adam), Marissa Karp, Zachary Myers (Vicky), Lauren Myers, Micah Rabin, Daniella Rabin and Eli Rabin. Beloved Great Grandma (G-G-ma) of Henley and Sivan Perlow and Levi and Noah Darling. Also survived by many special people in her life including Mark Winepol, Dr. Saul Silver, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, dear friends and loving caregivers. Annie attended The Ohio State University and worked in accounting. She later entered her favorite career of raising her four children with her mother, Zlota (“Bubbie”), who lived with her and Sorel for 25 years. Later in life her love for travel and working with people led her to become a Travel Agent where she became known as the “Queen of Travel” in Pittsburgh and in Delray Beach, Florida. Annie and Sorel loved to travel whether packing up the kids, Bubbie and Uncle Bill in the station wagon to drive to Atlantic City for their annual summer vacation or creating large cruise adventures for their dozens of friends in the Huntington Lakes Florida community. Annie was very active in Jewish life, including as a lifelong member of B’nai Emunah and Congregation Beth Shalom, Hadassah and as a founding member of the Pittsburgh Chapter of Pioneer Women/ NA’AMAT, and she loved her daily visits to the Pittsburgh Jewish Community Center for water aerobics. Later in life, Annie lived with her loving daughters, just as her mother lived with her.
