MILTON MARKOWITZ: On Saturday, September 24, 2022. Beloved husband of the late Janet Markowitz. Loving father of Mitchell (Stacy) Markowitz. Cherished grandfather of Rhea (Rich) Steen; great-grandfather of Lily and Claire. Also survived by nieces and nephews Randi, Gary, Laurie, Russ, Sheila, Mike, and Ron. Preceded in death by a brother and sister, lost to the Holocaust. Milton was born to Mordecai and Sarah Markowitz in Czechoslovakia. As a member of the Israeli Defense Force, he fought in the Golani Brigade in the Israeli War for Independence. Milton was a Kosher butcher, who worked hard to support his family. He loved Janet and Mitch beyond measure. Milton was known for his sharp sense of humor and was as stubborn as the day is long, which served him well in his long life. Graveside Service and Interment will be held on Wednesday, September 28 at 2 PM at Homewood Cemetery, Star of David section.
