RUTH (ROSEN) ZYTNICK: Of O'Hara Township, passed away on Monday, April 10, 2023. Beloved wife and best friend of Allan Zytnick for sixty-seven (67) years. She was the sister of the late Irwin Rosen and daughter of the late Harry and Frances Rosen of the South Side. Beside her husband, she leaves her sons, Joel Howard Zytnick, Sheldon (Susan) Farrell Zytnick and the late Jay Marshall Zytnick; a nephew Mark (Kazuko) Rosen, of Olympia, WA; a niece Hillary Rosen of White Plains, NY; grandchildren Michael Zytnick, Amanda (Ted) Swayer, Alexa Zytnick, Zachary Zytnick, William Zytnick and Matthew Zytnick; and great-grandchild Harry Sawyer, as well as dear and treasured friends Marian Brooks, Lila Feldman, Caroline Kunz, all of Pittsburgh and Sema Moskowitz of Delray Beach, FL. Mrs. Zytnick was a member of Beth Shalom and its sisterhood. She was a 1955 graduate of The University of Pittsburgh and its School of Education. Graveside Services and Interment were held at Beth Shalom Cemetery. Donations may be made to Community Day School, 6424 Forward Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15217. It was a privilege to have known Ruth Zytnick: a warm, gracious, kind, and generous woman who was the matriarch of a wonderful family. She never forgot her roots, growing up on Pittsburgh's South Side. My heartfelt sympathy to Allan, Joel, Sheldon, and the entire family. Know that her memory shall endure.
