PAUL C. OSTFIELD: Age 90, passed away on May 30th. He was a lifelong resident of Pittsburgh, having grown up in Oakland and attending Schenley High School and the University of Pittsburgh, where he was a member of the Pi Lambda Phi fraternity. Paul was also a proud veteran of the United States Navy and lifelong Steelers fan. Paul will always be remembered for his sense of humor, contagious smile and his knack for sharing great jokes to greet family and friends. Paul is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 40 years, Eileen, his siblings Howard Ostfield and Roselie Denny, and his parents Mildred and Joseph Ostfield. He is survived by his daughters Sheryl and Dana (Lyle), his cherishe grandchildren Blake and Devyn, as well as numerous nieces and nephews in the Ostfied, Srolovitz, Vesely, and Pincus families. Paul also leaves behind lifelong friends and Grouse Drive neighbors who were like family to him. Graveside Service and Interment will be held on Sunday, June 4, 2023 at 2 PM at B'nai Israel Cemetery. My Deepest Sincere Condolences for the loss of a dear member of your family. I briefly new Paul from morning minyan at Beth El Congregation. He was a joyful person. His attire always brought smiles, along with his witty humor and jokes. He was missed after he left for Chicago, and will be forever missed from those who knew him.
