I knew Gwen for many years. While attending Pitt Medical School, I met BeBe Miller. Perhaps his demeanor as an Ob Gyn attending informed my later career choice. Both of them were larger than life and remarkable in different ways. They will live on in the positive impacts they made on so many.

I want to express my heartfelt sympathy to the family of Gwen Miller. We met at the Rodef Shalom Temple a few times and I knew her dear husband, Bebe, who was chairman of the sustaining fund for the Pitt Medical School in prior years.

Gwen was a true friend of the School of Education at Pitt, of the School of Medicine, and of everyone who knew her. She was also a model of courage, continuing to stay active in the face of physical challenges. She certainly stands out as a model of how to live a good life, do good, pass on wisdom, and remain resilient. We will greatly miss her.
