MARY CATHRYN LYNN WEBER: On January 18, 2025, our beloved sister and aunt Mary Cathryn Lynn Weber (our Cathy) went to Heaven to be with her mom Bernita McDermitt Weber, her dad Edward Weber, and her brothers David and Edward. Cathy, blind from birth, was much admired for her positivity, optimism and upbeat personality and served as the family cheerleader. She had a beautiful voice and loved to sing, especially to Bob Marley and in the church choir. She had a sharp mind and an excellent memory - if anyone in the family needed to remember a date something had happened or had a question about the family history, Cathy was the person to go to. She had a tremendous capacity for love and a deep appreciation for the world around her. She enjoyed every moment of life, in all its complexity and despite adversity. She showed all lucky enough to know her how to be happy even when overcoming significant obstacles. Cathy and her nephew Jeremy Morrow had a special relationship, he was always there for her. Cathy died peacefully surrounded by her sisters Dee and Pat, and brother-in-law Don, and with her beloved reggae music playing in the background. We know Cathy is in a heaven filled with her most loved color, green: green grass, green trees, green hills. She is survived by her sisters Bernita (Dee) Morrow of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; Mary Patricia (Pat) Huber (Don) of Saxonburg, Pennsylvania; and Elizabeth Jean (Betty) Lieberman (Barry) of Las Vegas Nevada; and many much loved nieces and nephews, and grand nieces and nephews. We will miss her forever. Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, January 29, 2025 at 10 AM at St. Jude Parish/Sacred Heart Church, 310 Shady Avenue, Shadyside.
