CHERYL CIEPLY GARBER: Unexpectedly on Friday, March 28, 2025. Beloved daughter of the late Lillian and Morton Cieply. Cherished sister of Flora Calgaro (Lou) and Burt Cieply (Heather). Also survived by nieces and nephews Gavin, Shayna, Eric, Alex and five great nieces and nephews. Cheryl was a dedicated volunteer at Elfinwild Volunteer Fire Company for decades. Services at Ralph Schugar Chapel, Inc., 5509 Centre Avenue, Shadyside on Tuesday, April 1, 2025 at 1 PM. Visitation one hour prior to service (12 Noon - 1 PM). Interment Tree of Life Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Holocaust Center of Pittsburgh, The Morton Cieply Memorial Fund, 107 Woodland Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15232; Animal Friends, 562 Camp Horne Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15237; or Elfinwild Volunteer Fire Company, 2807 Mt. Flora and Burt, I FC heard from Cheryl before almost every election. She was either a Poll worker or a constable. She would also ask me when her mail and ballot was coming out. We would talk on the phone so long, but my bosses got mad at me. What a wonderful person! She will be missed. May her name be forever a blessing.
