PRETTER, DR. PAUL D.: Age 83, on Monday, November 18, 2013; Beloved husband of 50 years to Helene (Sugerman) Pretter. Loving father of Loren (Howard) Block of Tiburon, CA, Philip (Leslie) Pretter of Raleigh, NC and Alan (Sharon) Pretter of Pittsburgh. Cherished brother of Selma (late Mel) Jackson of Pittsburgh. Brother-in-law of Florence Alpert. Proud and adoring "Papa" of Gregory, Melissa, Erica and Emily Block and Brandon, Riley, Emma, Hannah and Sarina Pretter. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and friends. Dr. Paul was the Medical Director of Transtar Inc., a division of US Steel. Services at Ralph Schugar Chapel, Inc., 5509 Centre Avenue, Shadyside on Wednesday at 1 PM. Visitation one hour prior to services (12 Noon - 1 PM). Interment Beth Shalom Cemetery.
