LAZAR, ELEANOR (ELLY) WALFISH: Passed away peacefully in her home on February 2, 2014. Her two children Allan Lazar and Sherry Lazar Golden were with her. She was 94 years old. Her son Allan had moved from Seattle to Pittsburgh to care for her in the comfort of her home during the last year of her life. Elly was a sought after private duty registered nurse and an avid bridge player achieving Life Master status several times over. Knitting was also one of her passions and she took pleasure in giving away the beautiful scarves she created. She was a vibrant and forceful personality and will be deeply missed. Services at Ralph Schugar Chapel, Inc., 5509 Centre Avenue, Shadyside on Tuesday at 3 PM. NO PRIOR VISITATION. Interment Homestead Hebrew Cemetery.
