FOWLER, LOIS JOSEPHS: Passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 28, 2014, at the age of 89. Beloved wife of David H. Fowler. Loving mother of Daniel (Nadine) Josephs and David (Wendy) Josephs. Loving step-mother to Denise (Doug) Berczik. Grandmother of Erik (Angela) Josephs and Kasey (David Sax) Josephs. Great-grandmother of Connor Josephs. Sister of Serene Freedman. Her devoted caregivers were Jannice Snipes, Lisa Blanchard and Rachelle Jemison. Lois was a Professor of English at Carnegie Mellon University. During her long career, Lois was a dynamic Teacher who was loved by many students. Lois recently edited "The Collected Short Stories" of Gladyss Schmitt published in 2014 by the CMU press. Lois will be sadly missed. Friends will be received at the Homewood Cemetey Chapel, Dalls and Aylesboro Avenues, Squirrel Hill on Wednesday at 12 Noon - 1 PM followed by a Funeral Services. We were saddened to hear of Lois's passing. Our condolences to Uncle Dave and Lois's children. We had the pleasure of visiting with Dave and Lois a few years ago and meeting Lois's son. Please let me know how Uncle Dave is doing we haven't been in contact in a couple years. Thank You and God Bless Tom
