BLUMENFELD, IRVING L.: Age 84, on Thursday, April 16, 2015; Beloved husband of Rochelle (Reznik) Blumenfeld. Beloved father of Harold E. Blumenfeld, Beth A. Blumenfeld and Louis C. Blumenfeld, MD. Son of the late Louis Blumenfeld and Mildred Lebovitz. Father-in-law of Irina Blumenfeld, Cheryl Blumenfeld and Sheryl Riddle. Brother of the late Lilyanetta (late Morris) Berger. Brother-in-law of Alan (Mimi) Reznik. Grandfather of Brandon M., Justin T., Morgan S., Sofia I. and Loren Rose Blumenfeld. Also survived by nieces, Cookie Elbling and Amy Reznik (Julie), nephew Robert (Lizet) Reznik and other relatives and friends. Irv and Morris Berger started the Gateway Paint and Chemical Company in 1953. The business still remains in the family and is celebrating its 62nd year in operation on Smallman Street in the Strip District. He was also a veteran of the US Army having served in Japan. Services at Ralph Schugar Chapel, Inc., 5509 Centre Avenue, Shadyside on Sunday at 1 PM. Visitation one hour prior to services, (12 Noon - 1 PM). Interment B'nai Israel Cemetery.
