Growing up on Crombie Street , I had a wonderful family and friends who watched over us growing up. The Bergsteins , were always seeking out our welfare , and safety , on the street . When Mrs Bergstein burned her Chametz on erev Yom Tov , we knew it was time for the burning of the chametz . When I moved to my apt . , I would enjoy the conversations , that I had with Larry on the avenue. He was a real guy , no b.s . , and always was proud of his Jewishness and family - and friends . May Hashem comfort the family and his friends . Michael M.

My sincere condolences and prayers go out to everyone in the Bergstein and extended family. Larry was a character! I will always remember how he made me laugh and the stories he shared with me about my own father. You will be missed. May you rest in peace.

I have known the Bergsteins all of life and my heart and condolences go out to everyone of you. I will miss Larry and his sense of humor so much. We spent a lot of time together at the Greenfield and Schenley Park City Pools. Squirrel Hill will never be the same without the bald headed dark tanned guy in the leisure suites and smile on his face. Thank you Larry for being part of our lives. Sincerely, Jeffrey Parker
